This is a pretty simple look that I chose to wear to dinner at Ocho Lounge in the Riverwalk. These photos were taken by Deasy Noel, a photographer and blogger based in Los Angeles. I’d actually never met her prior to this day. I followed her on Instagram and saw her post stating that she was in San Antonio for the first time. I didn’t have plans that day, so I thought it’d be a cool idea to ask her to meet for dinner. Although I was nervous, I just went with it. Since she didn’t know me, I wasn’t so sure if she’d even respond. About an hour later, she replied saying that she was completely down to meet up. Great, right? I thought of cool restaurants to meet at and this is the one that came to mind. With such a cute outdoor patio, a view of the riverwalk, beautiful decor, and great food, I told her that we could meet up at Ocho Lounge. I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m no stranger to situations like these so I was pretty optimistic.

Needless to say, I’m so glad I took that leap of faith. We took some photos of each other, she gave me photography tips(she’s the PRO), I talked about life in Texas, she talked about life in Los Angeles, we discussed our future goals, we ate delicious food, and I gave her some recommendations for the remainder of her Texas road trip. Everything went so well and we ended up talking for 3+ hours.

Now I’ve got another friend to visit when I go back to LA! This situation just reminded me to continue stepping out of my comfort zone , even if it makes me feel like a completely weirdo sometimes. You never know where it’ll take you or what friends you’ll make along the way.
